The Sullivan Dome - aka, our Domicile
This is one of the three domes of our house. Each dome is 25 foot high, and 30 foot across. There are second floors on the domes on each end of the house. Yes, second floors...and yes, you can stand up in them (except near the edges of the room).
The square footage on the house is somewhere between 2600 and 2800 feet. It's difficult to calculate the exact square footage.
The domes are constructed of foam triangles that were covered with concrete. The sides are wood frame and have regular siding on the outside. We are working on putting new siding on now. It is/was sided in pine and is/was in need of being restained but we're changing it to concrete fiberboard which (hopefully) we'll never have to paint.
